DENVER, Colorado – Johns Manville (JM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and leading building products manufacturer, announced the release of its new AP™ Foil25, a polyiso foam board with a higher compressive strength.
AP Foil25 is everything you know about AP Foil, but with additional compressive strength. AP Foil25 polyiso continuous insulation provides one of the highest R-values per inch of any rigid insulation. This 25-psi compressive strength board is a closed-cell polyiso foam board with a foil facer on both sides. It can be used in above- and below-grade residential applications, plus it’s great for commercial projects where higher compressive strength boards are preferred for certain exterior cladding systems.
Johns Manville AP Foil25 functions as a water-resistive barrier, vapor barrier and air barrier, so there’s no need to install additional components. It also provides thermal insulation and is noncorrosive.
“AP Foil25 rounds out the Johns Manville portfolio of polyiso insulation products, giving contractors a higher-compressive strength board from a company they know and trust,” said Eric Dake, JM Senior Product Manager.
This new product is available in thicknesses of 1.65” to 3”, and in 4’x8’, 4’x9’ and 4’x10’ sheets. AP Foil25 meets all the same specifications and testing requirements as our standard AP Foil. Datasheets are available on www.jm.com for more information.
